Kristyn Burr has been the CEO of HomeAid National Capital Region (formerly HomeAid Northern Virginia) since February of 2017. She started her tenure at HANCR in 2014 as the Programs Director. Kristyn has been working in the non-profit sector for over 15 years. She is a current member of the Women’s Housing Leadership Group (WHLG) and NVBIA’s Women in the Building Industry (WBI).
Kristyn is a Trauma Informed Yoga Teacher and in 2016 founded SEVA Prison Yoga which brings weekly yoga and meditation classes to those incarcerated in Northern Virginia.
Kristyn has had multiple nominations for the Washington Business Journal’s Top 40 under 40 and Women Who Mean Business awards as well as the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce’s 40 Under 40 and was a nominee for Emerging Leader of the Year in 2019.
Kristyn is a graduate of Leadership Fairfax’s Leadership Fairfax Institute (LFI) class of 2019 and received a certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of Delaware in 2015.
She holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Bellevue University and a BSBA in Finance and Banking from the University of Nebraska.
In her spare time, Kristyn enjoys traveling the world, road biking, hiking and spending time adventuring with her tiny human.
