Exploring Innovation and Inclusion: HomeAid’s Visit to T.E.R.I. Campus of Life

Last week, HomeAid staff from across the nation had the privilege of experiencing firsthand the transformative work being done at the T.E.R.I. Campus of Life in San Marcos, California. As part of HomeAid's annual leadership conference held in San
Diego, attendees were treated to a tour (and a fantastic lunch prepared by clients of T.E.R.I) of the campus, gaining insight into T.E.R.I.'s mission and impact.

Since its establishment in 1980, T.E.R.I. (Training, Education, Research, and Innovation) has remained steadfast in its commitment to improving the quality of life for individuals with developmental and learning disabilities. Rooted in the belief of fostering inclusion within the community, T.E.R.I. has become a beacon of hope for countless individuals and families.

Located in San Diego County, T.E.R.I. has been recognized as a model program not only in California but across the nation. The agency's dedication to innovation and advocacy has led to the development of high-quality training, education, and
residential programs. T.E.R.I. has played a pivotal role in shaping statewide training initiatives, providing invaluable resources to social service agencies, and advocating tirelessly for the rights of individuals with developmental disabilities.

During the tour, HomeAid staff witnessed firsthand the impact of T.E.R.I.'s programs, which encompass education, vocational training, residential services, and recreational activities including equine therapy. From state-of-the-art facilities to innovative approaches, it was evident that T.E.R.I. is not just providing services but creating opportunities and instilling hope in the lives of those they serve.

As we reflect on our visit to the T.E.R.I. Campus of Life, we are reminded of the importance of collaboration and community support in creating inclusive environments for all. We extend our gratitude to T.E.R.I. for opening their doors and
sharing their inspiring work with us as well as the commitment of Ron Sutliff, Mary Lydon and Jon Peterson, the key leadership of HomeAid San Diego involved in the project.

In further celebration of T.E.R.I.'s dedication to serving individuals with developmental disabilities, we are excited to announce the dedication of the current phase of construction at the campus. Join us on Sunday, May 5th, as we come
together to commemorate this milestone and reaffirm our commitment to creating a more inclusive society for all. Together, we can continue to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
